The Coastal Bend Emergency Management Association (CBEMA) is now accepting proposals for the 2020 Coastal Bend Hurricane Conference scheduled for May 6 & 7 at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds in Robstown, Texas.
Last year’s conference had over 1000 participants representing the full range of local, state and federal governmental responders and policy makers, voluntary organizations, healthcare professionals, private businesses and industry representatives. Our audience includes professionals ranging from those new to emergency preparedness, all the way to expert emergency managers, with many years of experience. Our regional conference has had great success along the mid Texas Coast by ensuring full engagement of all community stakeholders by providing high quality training and networking that is typically only available at more expensive, statewide and national level conferences.
Our planning committee will consider session presentations that reflect the vast needs and experience levels of our whole community. If you would like to share your knowledge and best practices, we invite you to send us your session proposals for any relevant topic related to coastal hurricane and/or all hazards preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation.
Interested presenters are asked to submit the Presenter Submission Form on or before February 14, 2020 by email to CBHurricaneConference@gmail.com.
