On behalf of CBEMA and Nueces County, please accept our hear felt thank you for your participation in the 12th annual CBEMA Hurricane Conference. This was our biggest event to date! • There were over 1,100 pre-registered attendees for the conference with 908 checking in. • The opening general session included a massive Stop the Bleed training with 622 students earning completion certificates. • Over 70 presenters delivered exceptional training during 8 concurrent breakout sessions on the afternoon of May 3 and morning of May 4. Approximately 1,200 training hours were logged for attendees who were scanned into classrooms. • 404 people registered on-site for the Hurricane Table Top Exercise on May 4 with over 1,600 training hours logged. This important exercise will help to improve our regions’ response to major disasters.
The Coastal Bend Emergency Management Association (CBEMA) and Nueces County are hosting the 11th annual Coastal Bend Hurricane Conference. This conference has been a great success, drawing professionals from the lower Texas Coast and ensuring all community stakeholders have access to high quality training and networking that is typically only available at a lager more expensive, state and national level conference. The audience includes professionals with experience ranging from those new to emergency management, to those who are expert emergency managers; and incorporates the full range of local, state and federal government responders and policy makers, volunteer organizations, healthcare professionals, private business and industry representatives. |
